By accessing or using IDHS Benefits Access ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Not a government agency

IDHS Benefits Access is an independent document preparation service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) or any other government agency. You can always apply for benefits for free directly at ABE.Illinois.gov.

Our service

We provide tools and assistance to help you understand benefit programs, screen for potential eligibility, and prepare application documents. We do not determine eligibility, approve benefits, or submit applications on behalf of any government agency. Final decisions rest with the relevant agency.

Fees and payments

Certain features may require payment of a service fee for document preparation. Fees are disclosed before checkout and processed by our payment provider. Fees cover our preparation services only and are not a payment to any government agency. Except as required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase, fees are non-refundable once services have been rendered.

User responsibilities

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
• Review all prepared documents before signing or submitting them.
• Do not use the service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Keep your account credentials, if any, confidential.
